Martin-Jenkins commits to Sussex
Media Release - 1 November 2002
Sussex paceman, Robin Martin-Jenkins, has signed a new three-year deal to play for SCCC until the end of the 2005 season.
Robin was one of three Sussex batsmen to pass the 1,000 runs mark during the 2002 season including 205* against Somerset where he passed Sussex's highest eighth-wicket partnership (291) with Mark Davis.
Robin is delighted to further cement his relationship with his home county: "There's no doubt that Sussex is the place I want to be and this new contract is confirmation of the faith the club has in me. I'm very much looking forward to next season when my target will be to achieve the new double; take 50 wickets as well as scoring another 1,000 runs!"
