The Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports has reconstituted the Interim Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka, with effect from the 8th of May, 2002, under the authority vested in him by Section 33 of the Sports Law No. 25 of 1973.

Air Commodore Ajit Jayasekare and Mr. Lucian Merinnege have been appointed to the Interim Committee, in place of Mr. Mohan De Silva and Mr. Trevor Rajaratnam.

The Interim Committee now consists of the following persons:
1. Mr. Hemaka Amarasuriya - Chairman
2. Mr. Kushil Gunasekera - Secretary
3. Mr. Tryphon Mirando - Treasurer
4. Mr. Lawrance Amarasena - Member
5. Mr. Roshan Mahanama - Member
6. Mr. Michael Tissera - Member
7. Mr. Sidath Wettimuny - Member
8. Mr. Nalin Laduwahetty - Member
9. Air Commodore Ajit Jayasekera - Member
10. Mr. Lucian Merinnege - Member
