Somerset Seconds have to settle for a draw at Taunton

Somerset Seconds had to be content with a draw and twelve points from their rain affected match against Glamorgan at the County Ground that ended today.

Yesterday Somerset had batted for all but 20 overs of the day, during which they scored 351 for 9, with triallist Scott Cunningham scoring an unbeaten 125.By close of play Glamorgan had slipped to 57 for 4, with 3 of the wickets falling to the in form Pete Trego.

Resuming this morning the visitors innings continued to struggle against the Somerset attack and just after lunchtime they were all out for 144 with young all rounder Pete Trego ending with the impressive figures of 22.4 overs, 10 maidens 7 wickets for 42 runs.

When Glamorgan followed on the Somerset bowlers met with little success and the visitors had reached 138 without loss when the game ended.

Somerset Seconds are without a game now until Monday June 10th when they travel to Bristol to face Gloucestershire in a 4 day championship match.
