Somerset Seconds game looks set to be a wash out
Richard Walsh - 24 May 2002

The Somerset Second Eleven game against Northamptonshire at North Perrott seems destined to be abandoned without a single ball being bowled.

On Wednesday play was called off after lunch, and yesterday's play was also washed out because of the continuing heavy rain.

There has been further heavy rainfall overnight in the area on Thursday, so the likelihood of any play taking place today seems remote.

Somersret will be disappointed if the game is called off, particularly after their encouraging start on the same ground a fortnight ago when they comfortably beat Worcestershire.

The seconds are next in action when they take on Glamorgan in a 4 day match at Taunton, starting on Tuesday May 28th.
