Muridke Regional Academy trials concluded
Pakistan Cricket Board - 21 May 2002

The two day trials to select players for the Regional Academy Muridke concluded on Tuesday at the Gaddafi Stadium.

A total of 160 players appeared in the trials a Lahore, watched by members of Junior selection committee, namely Sultan Rana, Farrukh Zaman, and Rashid Khan. Besides the players invited by the selector on the basis of their performance in the Under-19 Grade I & Grade II Tournaments, the players directly presenting themselves on open merit basis were also allowed to appear in the trials.

The trials are currently being held at all major centers. The trials have already been held at Peshawar, Lahore and Rawalpindi.

It will be rounded off with two-days trials at the National Stadium, Karachi on May 23-24, 2002.

The consolidated list of those players picked up for the Regional Academies will be released on May 25, 2002. The selected players would also be simultaneously informed by PCB for reporting at the four respective Regional Academies on June 1, 2002.
