Derbyshire adopts ChildLine for 2002
Media Release - 13 March 2002
Derbyshire County Cricket Club has adopted the charity ChildLine for the 2002 season.
This will involve the two organisations working closely together on a number of events. For example, during the cricket season the charity will be present at a number of matches including the West Indies 'A' fixture when local schools will be invited to attend and get involved in some interval competitions.
ChildLine, who help children in trouble or danger, are increasingly keen to have a presence in the Derbyshire area and hope that an association with a Sports Club such as Derbyshire will not only raise awareness but also raise some much needed funds.
