International sales smash £1 million barrier Media Release - 12 March 2002
International ticket sales for this summer's matches at Trent Bridge today passed the £1 million barrier. The ground is scheduled to stage the opening NatWest Series one-day international between England and Sri Lanka on June 27 as well as the npower Test match between England and India from August 8-12. Notts Chief Executive David Collier said: "Advance ticket sales have been very strong for Trent Bridge in recent seasons and this year is no exception. The demand for tickets for the NatWest Series one-day international and the Friday and Saturday of the Test have been particularly good. "This year we have invested £1.9 million on a new 2,300-seat stand on the Fox Road side of the ground. The development is progressing well and is on schedule with the canopy and terracing now almost complete. "The stand is planned to be in operation for the first time at the England v Sri Lanka game when we shall have a capacity crowd for the opening game of the NatWest Series." Any spectators wishing to purchase tickets for the ODI or the Friday or Saturday of the npower Test are strongly advised to apply before Easter as there are very few seats remaining for these days. © Nottinghamshire CCC
