Narrow win for Karachi 11 March 2002
Karachi Blues scored a narrow two-wicket victory over Sialkot at Saga Ground (Sialkot) in another match curtailed by poor weather Sunday. The home team were bundled out for 87 in 23.2 overs after being sent in. Pacers Tariq Haroon (three for 13) and Imranullah (three for five) did most of the damage. Set 88 for victory in 25 overs, the Blues lost eight for 57 before an unbroken stand of 34 between Abdul Qadir (28) and Jaffar Qureshi (12) settled the issue. The other Pool 'B' fixtures, involving Pak PWD and Sui Gas at Muridke and Gujranwala v Rest of Balochistan, were completely washed out.
