The England and Somerset pace bowler Andrew Caddick was today ruled out of the NatWest Series which starts next week with a side injury.
Caddick saw a specialist in Nottingham today and the initial assessment is that the injury will require between 4-6 weeks rest.
If his injury responds well to treatment, he may be available for the first npower Test against India which starts on July 25.
The injury, to his left side, forced Caddick off the field after bowling only 5.3 overs during Sri Lanka's first innings at Old Trafford on Saturday.
