The National Selection Committee selected the following 5 players to join the Sri Lanka Squad on the tour of England for the ODI triangular between Sri Lanka, England and India commencing 27th June 2002. These names have received approval from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.

3. Naveed Nawaz
4. Pramodya Wickremasinghe
5. Romesh Kaluwitharane

The following 6 players who will not be participating in the ODI triangular would be returning to Sri Lanka:

2. Hashan Tillekeratne
3. Prasanna Jayawardena
4. Ruchira Perera
5. Thilan Samaraweera
6. Erik Upashantha
