After spending most of the day waiting for the pitch at the County Ground in Bristol to dry out, Somerset Second XI eventually got their championship game against Gloucestershire started at 3.45pm. After winning the toss ands batting first by close of play Somerset had reached 116 for 2 wickets off 44 overs. Piran Holloway (47) and Tom Webley (9) are the two batsmen out, whilst Scott Cunningham had to retire hurt on 31, after being hit on the head by a bouncer. The not out Somerset batsmen are Graham Rose, and David Lee, a triallist from Cornwall. The game continues at 11am tomorrow, weather permitting. © SOMERSET
