Somerset beneficiary Rob Turner is holding a Pro Am Golf Day at Enmore Park Golf Club near Bridgwater on Monday June 10th, and is looking for teams or individuals who would like to come along and take part in what promises to be a most enjoyable and entertaining day on one of the areas most attractive courses. The day begins with coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, before setting out in teams of four to play in the stableford compeititon. During the round on one hole there will be a nearest the pin compeition, on another the longest drive, there will be a two's competiton and also a putting compeition. On return to the clubhouse there will be a rolling buffet, and at the end of the day there will be prizes for the best teams and also a booby prize for those who don't fare quite so well. Earlier this week Rob told me: "I'm not much of a golfer myself, but I'm looking forward to the day, and hope that a lot of people will come along and help to make it a success." People should not read too much into Rob's modesty regarding his golfing ability.During a round at Oake Manor during the winter he scored a hole in one at the par 3 fourth hole, so anyone who is in Rob's team could be onto a winner! There are still a few tee times available for Rob's Golf Day on Monday, and further details can be obtained by contacting Bob Staples on 01278 253105 or 077760 76666. © SOMERSET
