Michael Munday enjoys a good day for the Seconds

Somerset Seconds spent a long day in the field at Knowle and Dorridge yesterday where Warwickshire set a new championship record breaking score of 680 for 9 declared in their first innings.

For the hosts Trevor Penney ended unbeaten on 255, whilst for Somerset Cornish leg spinner Michael Munday ended with the impressive figures of 23 overs, 2 maidens, 5 wickets for 147 runs.

Batting for a second time Somerset had reached 57 for 1 by the close of play.
