Dave Nosworthy re-appointed as Titans coach Rita Stoltz - 16 July 2002
The Northerns Cricket Union announced today that its commercial arm, Centurion Park Investments (Pty) Ltd had concluded a further agreement with Dave Nosworthy to coach its professional team, the Nashua Titans for the forthcoming three seasons. Northerns Cricket Union, President, Brandon Foot expressed his delight at the conclusion of the agreement:- "Dave Nosworthy is the first full-time Coach in the history of the Union to be appointed to serve beyond a two year term of office. This stability in the light of the recent re-appointment of Gerald Dros as Titans' Captain is a clear indication of the secure environment in which our professional team, the Nashua Titans is presently operating." Foot said that Dave Nosworthy had achieved success during the past two seasons, guiding the Nashua Titans to both a Standard Bank and Supersport final. "Dave's professional attitude, man-management skills, emphasise on discipline and consistency have been a revelation to the Northerns Cricket Union and have contributed largely to the success and stable atmosphere in which the Titans have performed during the past two seasons." "In my opinion, Dave is one of the leading Coaches in the country and we are fortunate to secure his services for such a substantial period of time." said Foot. Dave Nosworthy said:- "I am extremely privileged and honoured to have been offered this new contract and am proud to again be able to lead a young and exciting Nashua Titans team for the next three seasons!" Elise Lombard, the CEO of the Northerns Cricket Union expressed her delight at the appointment:- "Dave is a pleasure to work with and his administrative and management skills add much value to the Union."
