PCB organizes umpire training courses
Pakistan Cricket Board - 10 July 2002

In implementation of its policy of providing local umpires training at the grass-root level, PCB had organized basic Region Courses from may 14 to 21 in the eight cities throughout the country.

About 200 umpires from all over the country participated in these courses and took an examination.

50 out of the 58 candidates passing the BRC examination and possessing at least intermediate qualification with one year umpiring experience in local cricket and desirous of the entering mainstream umpiring are attending the 5 day Panel Induction Course which commenced at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Sunday July 7, 2002. On the last day of Panel Induction Course a written and oral examination will be given to the participants and those passing it would be considered for induction on PCB Grade-II Panel.

The course is being conducted by Mahboob Shah Chairman NUC, who is being assisted by Khizar Hayat.
