ACF Chairman lauds role of ACC President Lt. General Tauqir Zia Pakistan Cricket Board - 9 July 2002
The Chairman of Asian Cricket Foundation Mr. Jagmohan Dalmiya has lauded the role played by Lt. General Tauqir Zia, during his "excellent tenure as the President of the Asian Cricket Council". In a letter addressed to Lt. General Tauqir Zia, Chairman PCB Mr. Dalmiya, who is also the President of the India Cricket Board said "Your tenure as the President of Asian Cricket Council was eventful and I have great admiration for the ways in which you have dealt with several issues through your astute leadership skills. One of the greatest achievements was most certainly the creation of the Asian Cricket Foundation in order to plan, implement and execute the various development programmes in the Asian Continent. In fact, you created the Asian Cricket Foundation delegating to it a part of the powers of the President, ACC. The fact that the development programmes have been able to make much headway in the last two years is due to your foresight and administrative intelligence.
It was indeed a pleasure working with you in the last two years. I would look forward to continued interaction with you, so that Asian Cricket can transcend newer heights of glory".
