ECB currently have the following vacancies: NATIONAL VOLUNTEER MANAGER Lord's Cricket Ground - Attractive package The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for Cricket from playground to Test arena. Its Development Department is responsible for the continuing participation and growth of cricket in schools and clubs. Reporting to the Clubs Development Manager, your main objective is to implement the National Volunteer Strategy by helping the 38 County Cricket Boards to develop and support a sustainable volunteer structure with their County. This will be achieved by facilitating sound policies and processes for the recruitment, retention, recognition and reward of volunteers. You will have an understanding of the existing culture of volunteering in cricket and how this needs to be changed and a clear understanding of the reasons why people volunteer and the role that external agencies can play in volunteer management. A self-starter with a dynamic and charismatic personality, you will have sound project leadership/planning skills, be flexible, innovative and organised. You will also need to be an effective team leader with experience of managing people and a proven success as a motivator and possess excellent all-round communication skills. CRICKET DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - Cumbria Fixed term contract, Attractive package inc. car The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the national governing body for cricket from playground to Test arena. As County Development Officer you will support the Cumberland Cricket Board in the achievement of its development plan, particularly where it relates to the promotion and development of cricket in schools and clubs for both children and young adults. For this role you must experience of cricket development at grass roots level and have a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of cricket. A self-starter with energy and enthusiasm, you will need to have good administration skills and be an excellent communicator.
