David Leatherdale to address Worcestershire cricket evening Media Release - 29 January 2002
The series continues on Tuesday 12th February when the guest will be Worcestershire all-rounder David Leatherdale. A native of Bradford, David played league cricket in Yorkshire before joining Worcestershire in 1987. He demonstrated his ability in the field when called up as a substitute fielder in a Test Match at Old Trafford against Pakistan in 1992. But it was as a bowler that he impressed in 1997 in a match against the Australian tourists by taking 5-10. No doubt he will be keen to comment on the pressure to succeed in the Worcestershire middle order following the close season signings. As ever the meeting will be held in the Cricket Suite of WCCC Ground, New Road, Worcester starting at 7.30 p.m. Entry is free to Society members, £2.50 to non-members. © Worcestershire CCC
