Mills replaced in only change to State Auckland Aces for round seven of State Shield
Auckland Cricket Association - 17 January 2002
State Auckland Aces and CLEAR Black Caps all-rounder, Kyle Mills has been replaced by Gareth Shaw for the State Auckland Aces round seven State Shield match against the State Otago Volts at Eden Park Outer Oval tomorrow.
Mills' side strain injury is still restricting his movement despite playing only as a batsman in the State Auckland Aces win over the State Central Stags yesterday.
"Kyle's injury is proving to be more of a hindrance then first thought. We have decided to give him more time to get the injury right so that he can play a full role in future matches. It's frustrating for Kyle, but having him back at full fitness is a priority for himself and the team," said Tony
Sail, State Auckland Aces coach and Convener of selectors.
The State Auckland Aces team to play the State Otago Volts in a round seven State Shield match on the Eden Park Outer Oval tomorrow is:
Brooke Walker (captain)
Matt Horne
Aaron Barnes
Tama Canning
Guy Coleman
Terry Crabb
Chris Drum
Mark Haslam
Nick Horsley
Llorne Howell
Gareth Shaw
Reece Young
