Sri Lanka have recalled left-arm fast bowler Ruchira Perera for the final Test match against Zimbabwe at Galle starting Saturday.
The 24-year-old pace bowler, who has played six Tests, the last of which was against Bangladesh in the Asian Test Championship, comes into the squad as cover for Nuwan Zoysa who is recovering from illness.
The new four-man selection committee picked a 13-man squad for the Test with three reserves.
With middle order batsman Chamara Silva, fast bowler Prabath Nissanka, and left-arm spinner Niroshan Bandaratillake being named as reserves, Sri Lanka look set to name an unchanged side.
Perera will play if Zoysa fails to recover fully whilst Upul Chandana, also named in the 13, is the specialist 12th man unless the pitch looks set to favour spin.
The final eleven will be chosen on Friday.
