Cuffy determined to have MRI scan
Sean Beynon - 7 January 2002

Fast bowler Cameron Cuffy is prepared to pay the bill for an MRI scan if the West Indies Cricket Board continues to refuse his pleas. The 31-year-old limped out of West Indies' tour to Zimbabwe after suffering a stress fracture.

Whilst the board made arrangements for Cuffy to see a doctor in St. Vincent, the closest MRI facility is in Trinidad. The board have confirmed that they do not believe it is necessary for him to have the scan.

Cuffy insisted that he was determined to have the scan. "Regardless of what these people are saying I am going to Trinidad to have this scan done if it means footing the bill myself," he said.
