Essex County Cricket Club head coach, Graham Gooch OBE, has pledged his support to the membership of Essex by agreeing to help sign up new members at the County Ground on Saturday 9th March.

The two-hour session, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, will allow new members and renewing members the opportunity to meet the Essex and England legend whilst taking up membership to the county for the 2002 campaign. Existing members are also welcome if introducing a new member.

Membership for 2002 is £85 for adults, £57 for seniors and £1 for juniors. Commercial Manager, Dave Comley, said: "We are delighted that Graham has shown the Membership his support in this way, and we hope that lapsed members who did not renew in 2001, and new members, will come out in numbers to show their support for Graham Gooch, who is simply Essex through and through."

Graham Gooch will be in the Pavilion Suite between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon on Saturday 9th March at the County Ground, New Writtle Street, Chelmsford.

Only those becoming members for 2002 are invited.
