State Auckland Aces resume State Championship campaign on portable pitch

The State Auckland Aces resume their State Championship (four-day) campaign with a top of the table match against the State Canterbury Wizards on the Eden Park main ground starting tomorrow. A portable pitch will be utilised for the match, with new pitches also being prepared for the upcoming One-Day International and Test Match between the CLEAR Black Caps and England on Eden Park.
After four rounds in the ten-round State Championship, the State Canterbury Wizards lead the competition on sixteen points, followed by the State Auckland Aces on thirteen points, and the State Northern Knights on twelve points.
Mark Richardson returns to the State Auckland Aces after being on duty with the CLEAR Black Caps in Australia. New Zealand Under-19 representative, Rob Nicol, also returns after playing in the recent ICC Under-19 World Cup tournament held in New Zealand.
Unavailable for selection were Mark Haslam because of work commitments and Kyle Mills due to injury. Adam Parore is rested for the match.
