Graeme Hick agrees to contract extension Media Release - 21 December 2002
Graeme Hick and Worcestershire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce they have agreed a new contract that will last until the end of the 2006 season. This represents an additional two years on Graeme's existing contract. Graeme Hick said: "I'm delighted we have been able to resolve this matter and I would like to thank all the Members and Supporters who have written and expressed their support over the last month. I look forward to being part of a team that I'm sure will bring success to the Club next year." Chief Executive Mark Newton is equally pleased with the agreement. He said: "Graeme is an icon of Worcestershire Cricket and the Club is delighted to have secured his long term future. "Since his debut in 1984 Graeme's contribution to Worcestershire County Cricket Club has been immense and I'm sure I speak on behalf of every Member and Supporter when I say how pleased we are with this news and how much we look forward to seeing him score many more hundreds in the years to come." © Worcestershire CCC
