England wins toss and bats against Sri Lanka AAP - 17 December 2002
BRISBANE, Dec 17 AAP - England captain Nasser Hussain won the toss and chose to bat against Sri Lanka in the triangular one-day series match at the Gabba today. England will bat in warm conditions, seeking its first win of the series after losing the opening two matches to Australia. Selectors made three changes to the team which lost by 89 runs at the MCG on Sunday, dropping Owais Shah, James Kirtley and Gareth Batty for Steve Harmison, Paul Collingwood and Andrew Caddick. Sri Lanka, playing its first match of the tournament, included Chaminda Vaas and Romesh Kaluwitharana.
