'Who knows what tomorrow holds' says Ian Blackwell ahead of Sunday's match in Melbourne
SOMERSET - 14 December 2002

On the eve of their second VB one day series match England have the chance to make amends for their defeat at the hands of Australia in Sydney when they face the old enemy again in a day night match at Melbourne tomorrow.

After taking two of the three Aussie wickets to fall Ian Blackwell will be hoping to be in the start line up when the match gets underway in the morning.

Earlier this morning `Blackie' reflected on the match in Sydney and told me: "I really couldn't have started any worse when I got out a first ball. The atmosphere in the ground was just amazing with 37,000 people there."

He continued: "We thought we had a chance at the halfway stage, and just knew that we needed to get Hayden and Gilchrist out cheaply but when they brought up the 100 partnership I thought that we would struggle.

"I was really pleased with the way that I bowled and to pick up a couple of wickets along the way was an awesome feeling, but the margin for error with these boys is slight and they don't give you a sniff. A shame we lost but still who knows what tomorrow holds," he concluded.

Good luck `Blackie' for tomorrow, and you can rest assured that everybody back here in Somerset is rooting for you.
