Bulls lose Kasprowicz Queensland Cricket - 13 December 2002
The XXXX Queensland Bulls will be without pace spearhead Michael Kasprowicz for their Pura Cup clash with Tasmanian Tigers in Hobart next week. The Queensland selectors last night named a 13-man squad for the match starting on Thursday at Bellerive Oval but Kasprowicz was ruled out today after a session with team physiotherapist Stephen Partridge and coach Terry Oliver. Kasprowicz suffered a hamstring injury in Queensland's outright win over the Western Warriors three weeks ago and will now set his sights on being fit for the return clash at the WACA in Perth from January 4-7. Left-arm pace bowler Scott Brant comes into the twelve that defeated the Warriors in place of Kasprowicz. Brant had been named in the Queensland Academy of Sport team to play Tasmania at Allan Border Field in their ACB Cup 2nd XI match from Monday but has has now been replaced by off-spinner Scott O'Leary. Bulls squad bowler Adam Dale returns to the QAS line after missing their last match against NSW due to a groin strain. The Bulls depart on Monday at 11.10am on Qantas Flight QF525.
