Record-breaking match at Bristol ends in a draw Ralph Dellor - 18 August 2002
The record-breaking Frizzell County Championship match at Bristol ended as a draw when Gloucestershire extended their second innings to 446 for seven when the captains shook hands. That gave them a lead of 122 after a stand of 125 for the sixth wicket between Alex Gidman and Jack Russell and the a partnership of 137 for the seventh wicket between Russell and Ian Fisher. Gidman made 117, Russell 104 not out and Fisher 69. Matt Cassar was the most successful of the Northamptonshire bowlers with four for 100. © CricInfo
