Records tumble in Bristol

On Saturday 17 August in the Frizzell County Championship match against Northamptonshire the world record was beaten when 746 runs were scored in an innings, the highest score ever without a single bye being conceded. Many congratulations to Jack Russell.

Mike Hussey Northamptonshire captain broke two records as highest visiting batsman to beat the Australian player Arthur Morris's record of 290 scored in 1948 and also the all time record of most number of runs scored on this ground which was held by Wally Hammond who scored 302 against Glamorgan in 1934.

W G Grace also scored 301 on this ground against Sussex in 1896.
