'We want a result' says Kevin Shine
Richard Walsh - 29 April 2002

Steffan Jones is still recovering from his hamstring injury so Somerset coach Kevin Shine has named the same twelve players that lost to Warwickshire on Sunday, for the Benson and Hedges match against Glamorgan at Taunton tomorrow.

Kevin Shine told me this morning: "We will leave the the final line up for the game until the morning after we have had a look at the wicket."

The full squad is: Jamie Cox, Matt Wood, Mike Burns, Peter Bowler, Keith Parsons, Ian Blackwell, Rob Turner, Pete Trego, Keith Dutch, Richard Johnson, Matt Bulbeck and Simon Francis.

Reflecting upon yesterday's defeat at Edgbaston the coach told me: "We were very disappointed with the result. We didn't bowl as well as we should have, and once the Duckworth Lewis method came into play we were really up against it."

What about the game tomorrow I asked. The coach told me: "We will go into the game against Glamorgan on Tuesday with a very positive attitude. We want a result!"

Meanwhile Somerset's two England contract players Andy Caddick and Marcus Trescothick were both in the Centre of Excellence at the County Ground this morning training and having nets alongside youngsters from the Academy.
