Kent sign Shepherd Neame sponsorship deal Media Release - 13 April 2002
Kent County Cricket Club and Kent brewers Shepherd Neame today signed a new three-year sponsorship deal. The deal, worth in excess of £400,000 over the three-year period, marks an extension to a partnership which began in 1998. Commenting on the news, Paul Millman, Kent's Chief Executive, said: "This announcement is good news for county cricket and for Kent in particular and we are delighted to renew our relationship with Shepherd Neame for a further three years. "Everyone at the Club and our colleagues at the brewery have worked hard to make the sponsorship a success, culminating in the triumph of the Kent Spitfires last season. "We now have an opportunity to build the partnership still further and we are particularly delighted to welcome Shepherd Neame's new partners, Holsten UK, as a key part of the new deal." Shepherd Neame's Managing Director, Jonathan Neame, added: "We're delighted to renew our support of the county's Norwich Union League side, particularly after their fabulous achievement in winning the title last season." © Kent CCC
