Gloucestershire have welcomed the First Class Forum's proposed introduction of a new 20-over competition to replace the Benson & Hedges Cup next season.
Gloucestershire's Chief Executive, Tom Richardson, said: "We fully support the new competition, and believe that cricket will have a new product that has the potential to attract a new audience, particularly young people.
"With the matches starting at 5.30pm the format will be suitable for supporters to come and watch entertaining cricket after work.
"It is proposed that the matches will take place in the height of summer for two weeks and the semi final and final will be played at Lord's on the same day."
