Holiday Coaching Festival at St George's Park Media Release - 17 September 2001
The EP Cricket Board is proud to announce that the annual exciting "Cricket Coaching Festival" will take place from 1 - 4 October at St. George's Park. For four days, parents will have a wonderful opportunity to get rid of those everyday "I'm bored", "There's nothing to do" comments and drop the children off at EP Cricket where they will be coached by qualified EP coaches. They will receive coaching in batting, bowling and fielding skills. According to Leigh Deyzel, Senior Cricket Administrator, the kids will have a great time during the four days. "There will be a Fun Morning on the Thursday when they can put their new skills to the test while participating in throwing competitions, bowling competitions, a treasure hunt and much more. Drinks will be provided during the morning but children should bring a light snack along. "They will then return on the Thursday night, bringing their parents along who can go to Castle Corner and enjoy the supper that will be provided by Nando's. While the parents are in Castle Corner the kids will enjoy the evening with the EP Jumbo's in the Firestone Centre. They will have a cricket quiz and play games with stacks of prizes to be won". The coaching clinic will be from 08:00 - 12:30 everyday. The cost for the Coaching Festival is R100.
