Bulls to test Kiwis Queensland Cricket - 29 October 2001
The Queensland selectors have named a near full-strength XXXX Queensland Bulls team to play New Zealand in the first class tour match at the Gabba starting on Thursday.
The selectors have retained the same twelve that played Victoria in the Pura Cup match that finished in a draw on Saturday, with the Bulls claiming two points to retain their lead in the competition.
Pace bowlers Adam Dale (shoulder) and Joe Dawes (knee) were not considered, with the selectors expected to review the availability of both players later this week for the Bulls trip to Perth on Monday for the Pura Cup match against the Western Warriors at the WACA starting on Thursday week.
The Bulls have been given the next two days off in the wake of a hectic schedule of games and will not train before the tour match which commences on Thursday.
New Zealand will train again tomorrow and Wednesday from 9.30am at the Gabba.
