PCB kicks-off scorer workshop Pakistan Cricket Board - 26 November 2001
A two days Scorers Workshop is being held by PCB at Lahore on November 28 and 29, 2001, while similar workshop are scheduled to be held at three other centers namely Peshawar, Quetta and Karachi early next month. The workshops are for both old and new cricket scorers for brushing up and broadening the knowledge of incumbents in this key area of the game. About 140 scorers from all over Pakistan will attend the workshop where experts will impart training to them through modern techniques like video film, demonstration and lectures. The workshops are scheduled to be held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (November 28-29) Arbab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar (December 1-2) Shola Stadium, Quetta (December 5-6) and National Stadium, Karachi (December 9-10). The Training Teams will be headed by eminent former test umpires at each center. In Lahore Member NUC Khalid Aziz will head the three member team including Saqib Irfan and Abdul Hameed, at Peshawar the three member team will be headed by Member NUC Said Ahmed Shah and will include Saqib Irfan and Nadeem Akhter. At Quetta Member NUC Khizar Hayat assisted by Saqib Irfan will conduct the workshop, while at Karachi Chariman NUC Mehmboob Shah assisted by Saqib Irfan and Mohammad Ahsan will conduct the workshop.
PCB has made proper arrangements for the above workshop providing the necessary training equipment and other material required by the scorers during the training.
