Quarter-final draw made for Benson and Hedges Cup Sean Beynon - 7 May 2001
The Benson and Hedges Cup quarter-final draw was made on Monday, with defending champions Gloucestershire securing a home draw against Durham. Perhaps the pick of the ties is at Taunton, where Somerset host Yorkshire. The West Country team earned a home draw, finishing top of the Midland/Wales/West Division, after a Marcus Trescothick inspired victory over Gloucestershire. In the other ties, Sussex face Surrey at Hove, who would also have home advantage if they had beaten Kent today. Nottinghamshire, who topped the North Division with four wins, play Warwickshire at Trent Bridge. One tie will be played on Tuesday 22 May, with the other matches scheduled for the following day. The ECB will announce the full schedule on Tuesday morning. © CricInfo
