Nathan Hauritz - biographical information

He represented Queensland Under 17 in 1996-97 and 1997-98 and Queensland Under 19 in 1998-99, 1999-00 and in 2000-01. He visited England with the Australian Under 19 team in the northern summer of 1999 and was a member of the Australian Under 19 team to play in the Under 19 World Cup in Sri Lanka, and is again a member of the Australian Under 19 squad in this season. In 2000-01 he captained the Australian Cricket Academy team on their tour of Bangladesh, in the course of the tour returning home to make his One Day debut for Queensland in the match against Victoria played in Brisbane. He played his junior cricket at Hervey Bay and represented (and captained) Wide Bay in the various age groups in the Queensland Junior Cricket Association's intra state series. In 1995-96 he was selected in the Queensland Under 14 team to tour New Zealand, being team captain. Moved from the South Burnett to Hervey Bay in 1987.
