Pennant Cricket Committee hearing outcome Western Australia Cricket Association - 29 March 2001
The WACA's Pennant Cricket Committee tonight handed down the following penalties after Scarborough Cricket Club representative Tony Weston was found guilty on charges arising from a match on Saturday 3 February 2001. The outcomes to the three charges are as follows;
These penalties will commence from the start of season 2001-2002 and are cumulative. There will also be a recommendation from the Pennant Cricket Commttee for the Australian Cricket Board to review Weston's coaching accreditation. Mr Weston had been suspended for five weeks on a previous occasion for abuse of an umpire. The reasons for the decision will be distributed to all parties at a later date. Mr Weston has the right of appeal. © 2001 Western Australia Cricket Association
