BTTW: Info Exchange
21 March 2001
Info Exchange was originally intended, as the name implies, as a Bulletin Board for readers wanting to exchange information. In a welcome development, it seems to have unwittingly become an 'Ask Tony' page. In future editions, I will be commencing a list of limited over 'internationals' between non-Test countries outside the ICC Trophy. If you would like to either ask a question or contribute info, you can do so by emailing: Info Exchange
Respected sir,
I am a computer engineering student studying in Ukraine.
I am a lover of cricket. My name is Amar Ashokan, from India. I am now 21 & love to play cricket. I was a district player when I was in India.
Now I am writing this letter because I want your help to make a cricket team here. I was the captain of "HAWKS" (check in cricket news of Ukraine). Please help me to make a team.
Very less Ukrainians know about cricket. There is no help from the government
yet. I am planning a whole Ukrainian tournament on April-May here in
Krivoirog. Please mail me with some advices.
With respect,
Amar Ashokan

Amar,
The best people to contact are the European Cricket Council. You can contact Alison Smith, who's email address is alison.smith@mcc.org.uk
Ian Stuart of the ECC informs me that its website, soon to be revamped, will feature a section advising how to start a club.
Alternatively, on a local level, you can contact Thamarai Pandian, who I understand is one of the main organisers of cricket in the Ukraine. His email address is: jbcpl@public.ua.net
I hope this helps.
I have just been scouring the ICC website looking for some kind of email, or feedback section, and can't find one, so failing that, I decided to bother you instead! Do you have the ICC's email?

The first International game between Canada and the USA was won by whom?
Steve
The match, played in New York in September, 1844, was won by Canada when they beat USA by 33 runs. Thanks to Philip Bailey, CricInfo's master statician, for the info.
Thank you so much for your "Beyond the Test World" section of CricInfo. I
look forward to each addition.
My son and I, like many other Americans, plan to attend part of the ICC
Trophy tournament in Toronto this summer. Can you post some information or
links on ticket orders and hotels? Any information on making advanced
arrangements would be greatly appreciated.
