New face for Eastern Province Cricket Board Website Ronel Dawson - 20 March 2001
After "reconstructive surgery" the Eastern Province Cricket Board's website is now ready to boast with a new look and many new exciting features and links. The Eastern Province Cricket Board's website is hosted by CricInfo, the biggest single sports website in the world and hosts eight of the ten test playing countries' websites. EP Cricket lovers and supporters can find the Eastern Province Cricket Board website on the CricInfo website. Click on South Africa and then on the EP Jumbo Elephant at the bottom of the page, where you will be redirected to the EP Cricket site. The CricInfo address is www.cricinfo.com. Once on the EP Cricket homepage, cricket supporters will be bombarded with the latest headlines in cricket. On the homepage, you will find a variety of options that can redirect you to live scoreboards, news articles dating back to 1999, all the former and current EP Cricket player profiles, statistics and information regarding national and international fixtures with updated stats and averages of all the players. The EP Cricket homepage also provides a menu where you can find links to the seven of the nine test playing nations' websites. There is also links to the latest international and national cricketing news, chat rooms, polls, reviews and current and future fixtures. There is also a link to Women's Cricket. According to Kevin Horn, financial manager of the Eastern Province Cricket Board, CricInfo is responsible for the production and hosting of the website. "From our side we will be involved with the procurement of sponsorships and advertising opportunities on the EP website."
