Pacer Shoaib's video footage inconclusive 20 March 2001
The video footage of paceman Shoaib Akhtar provided by the International Cricket Council (ICC) are inconclusive. A spokesman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said the footage has not been covered by the required angles. The spokesman added that the three-man bowling committee has requested the cricket board to provide another footage to reach some conclusion. Akhtar was reported for a suspect bowling action by Steve Dunne and Doug Cowie during the fifth and final one-day international against New Zealand. Meanwhile, Shoaib Akhtar will have his bowling action examined in Australia. The PCB spokesman said the paceman will leave this week to Perth's Western Australia University where a dimensional bio-mechanical analysis will be done. Shoaib's action will be examined under the guidance of Dennis Lillee and Daryl Foster and other experts in the Bio-mechanics Department, the spokesman said.
