A final decision on the availability of XXXX Queensland Bulls pace bowler Andy Bichel for the NSW Blues Pura Cup match at the Gabba may not be made until tomorrow morning before the game.

Bichel had an MRI scan this morning that revealed no major injury in his side. The Bulls coaching staff will assess him during training this afternoon but coach Bennett King is prepared to give him until just prior to the game to prove his fitness.

"Bic still has a bit of isolated soreness but with the senior players, I'm prepared to give them as much time as possible before making a final decision," he said.

Bulls captain Stuart Law (foot) will also be assessed during training although he too may be given until tomorrow morning before a final decision is made on his availability.

The Queensland selectors today confirmed that left-hander Lee Carseldine would replace Andrew Symonds in the Bulls side for the match against NSW.
