School's out for White and Marsh
Victorian Cricket Association - 13 March 2001
Homework will be far from the minds of teenagers Cameron White and Shaun Marsh, when they meet in Thursday's all important Pura Cup clash between the Victorian Bushrangers and the Western Warriors at the MCG.
Both 17 year-olds come fresh from impressive debuts last week, White snaring 4/65 to lead the Bushrangers to first innings points against the NSW Blues and Marsh scoring 46 for the Warriors against the Tasmanian Tigers. "I haven't been to school for three or four weeks", White, a VCE student, said upon return from his debut match in Sydney. "I'm a long way behind in my schoolwork, but I'll worry about catching up when the season finishes".
The Bushrangers announced an unchanged line-up from Sydney, with the Warriors making one change. Former Zimbabwe international player, Murray Goodwin was omitted, making way for 23 year-old debutante batsman Geoff Cullen from Claremont-Nedlands.
