Lincoln Scholarship XI named to play touring club from New South Wales

The following 13 players have been selected as a Lincoln Scholarship XI to play against the touring Crusaders Cricket Club from New South Wales. This is the first time that a Canterbury Cricket Scholarship XI has been selected to play a competitive fixture. The game is a 50 over affair and will be played at Hagley Oval on Tuesday March 20th, starting at 11am.
The team is made up from students who are in their second and third years of the Scholarship programme and will be coached by Garfield Charles. Five of the team were in the successful Canterbury Under 19 side, while five also had experience at Hawke Cup over the summer.

Not to be outdone, a women's Lincoln University XI has also been selected to play against a Canterbury Women's Selection. This game will be at Hagley Oval on Sunday March 25th. The side will be coached by Sarah Helmore and is as follows. Six of the team played in the State Insurance Cup this season.
