England's and Pakistan's rankings unchanged 21 June 2001
England's drawn series with Pakistan leaves both teams' rankings unchanged in The Cricketer's Test ratings. A close series was predictable according to the ratings and so it proved, with England staying at the head of the pack behind top two Australia and South Africa. Shaun Pollock's side remain at the top of the one-day table despite dropping four points after losing two of their seven games against lowly West Indies. England began the NatWest Series 16 points behind Pakistan and 30 adrift of Australia. The Cricketer Ratings for Test Cricket 1 Australia 72, 2 South Africa 66, 3 England 51, (–), 4 Pakistan 50 (–), 5 India 45, 6 New Zealand 44, 7 West Indies 39, 8 Sri Lanka 35, 9 Zimbabwe 19, 10 Bangladesh 10. The Cricketer Ratings for One-Day Internationals 1 South Africa 76 (-4), 2 Australia 72, 3 Sri Lanka 62, 4 Pakistan 58, 5 India 51, 6 New Zealand 49, 7 England 42, 8 West Indies 40 (+5), 9 Zimbabwe 34, 10 Kenya 14, 11 Bangladesh 12.
