Venue of Indians' three-day match shifted
30 July 2001

India's three-day match against Sri Lanka A scheduled to be played at Matara, about 150 km south of Colombo from August 8 to 10 has been shifted to the capital, according to Sri Lankan Cricket Board officials.

The Indian team had requested for the change on security grounds, they added.

The match is in preparation for the three-Test series between the two countries that begins on August 14.
