• Australia has now played 20 matches at a stretch without a draw winning 18 and losing only 2- a new record for Australia. This bettered the previous sequence of 19 consecutive matches without a draw which Australia had from 1884-85 (v England,Adelaide) to 1891-92 (v England,Adelaide).
