Driver finds touch for Lancashire second XI CricInfo - 24 July 2001
Ryan Driver was in top form for Lancashire second XI. The 22-year-old left-hand bat struck an unbeaten 208 on the first day of the championship game against Warwickshire at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Driver, who was previously with Worcestershire, has failed to secure a first-team place at Old Trafford since his arrival in the winter. He has averaged only 13 in his four first-class games to date with Lancashire, but in guiding his team to 350-7 by the close on day one he may well have ensured himself of another opportunity.
