Lahore July 5, 2001: Chairman PCB, Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia, has condoled the death of a senior sports journalist, Imtiaz Sipra.

In a letter addressed to the brother of deceased, Justice (Retd) Sajjad Sipra, Provincial Mohtasib, PCB Director Brig. Munawar Ahmed Rana conveyed the following condolence message of Chairman PCB on Thursday;

"I have learnt with sorrow the sudden and untimely passing away of your brother Mr. Imtiaz Sipra in the early hours of Wednesday. Mr. Sipra was a prominent sports writer. He had the fluency, wit and knowledge that made his writing highly enjoyable and hence eagerly awaited. In addition he was remarkably jovial and lively as a person. The corridors of sports journalism will miss him dearly.

On behalf of the Chairman and all officers of the Board please accept our most sincere condolence for you and other members of your family. Please remember us especially to his son and daughters that he has left behind."
