Board yet to accept Gavaskar's resignation, says Muthiah The President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, AC Muthiah said in New Delhi on Monday that the Board had still not accepted the resignation tendered by the former Indian skipper and the member of the Board of Directors of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Sunil Gavaskar. Speaking to reporters after the BCCI working committee meeting at the nation's capital, Muthiah said that he is yet to take a decision on this issue. Muthiah added that the replacement of Hanumant Singh, who also resigned from the NCA is yet to be decided. Gavaskar had sent his resignation to the BCCI following a difference of opinion with NCA Chairman Raj Singh Dungarpur while Hanumant Singh had cited reasons of ill-health. On the appointment of an administrative manager for the Indian team during the Australian tour, Muthiah felt that since John Wright, the coach of the national team is a foreigner and may find it difficult to manage the administrative part of the tour, it would be better to have an Indian administrative manager.
